post High or Low Speed

There may be some confusion as to what High Speed and Low Speed is, so let me explain which one you should choose when testing your internet connection.

Low speed is anything like dial up modems, such as the 56k modems. High speed includes DSL and cable modems. It is not going to hurt you to run a low speed test on a high speed connection, but running the high speed test when you have a low speed connection will take a few minutes to complete.

The selections are available only to help speed things up. For very high speed connections, the high speed test will provide greater accuracy than that of the lower test.

  1. I’m using a 128k ISDN line, should I use the high speed test? Thanks for the test by the way!

  5. Question number #4 asks:

I did the test but I do not know I’m supposed to have high speed and testing me upload speed 381 Kbps and 2905 kpbs dowlowd is could you tell me if it’s good.

    My Response is:

    Bonjour,

Votre test de vitesse résultats sont typiques d’un modem câble et sont de bons vitesses. Ce sont les vitesses j’ai à la maison.

    Ont un grand jour!

    English:
    Hello,

Your speed test results are typical of a cable modem and are good speeds. These are the speeds I have at home.

    Have a great day!
